I will preface this by saying I raise or grow most of our foods, so shop very seldom other than an occasional walmart pick up or costco trip.
I went to the grocery this morning to pick up a few items I needed for todays fermenting and canning- I was a little taken aback because as much as I talk to people about shortages, they all looked at me like I was nuts.
Not only are many shelves front faced only, but many brand name items have been replaced with much lesser known brands from all over the world, and they seem to have all of the processed junk food filling many gaps.
Cooking oils and vinegar are sparse and the price has really jumped. Fresh herbs and cabbage- what I went in for, are twice as expensive as last year.
Any other Canadians noticing similar?
